Termite work done properly, and written down

The common experience is familiar to most families. Someone comes with a sprayer, wets the skirting and the door frames, the termites you can see disappear, and everyone is relieved. A year or two later the frames sound hollow again, the paint bubbles in the same corner, and the money is gone.

That happens because a surface spray never reaches the colony. Subterranean termites live in the soil, sometimes several metres away from the wall they are eating. Kill the workers in the room and the nest simply sends more. The only treatment that ends the problem is one that puts a continuous chemical barrier between the colony and the structure, and lets the termites carry the active ingredient back to the nest themselves.
