What this service actually involves
A west-facing bedroom wall in June can be too hot to touch by late afternoon, and it keeps releasing that heat into the room after sunset. Wall heatproofing applies a reflective, insulating coating to the external face of sun-exposed walls. It reflects much of the solar heat before the masonry absorbs it, so the wall stays cooler and the room behind it is easier to cool. The coating is applied over cleaned, repaired plaster in multiple coats and can be tinted to a light colour so the house does not have to be stark white. It is often combined with roof heatproofing for a whole-building effect, and with crack repair and water-repellent treatment where the wall also takes rain.
We do not publish dilution rates or dosages online. The correct quantity depends on the approved product label and on what the inspector finds at your property, and your applicator will confirm both before any chemical is mixed.

Which walls should be treated?
The walls that take afternoon sun, usually west and south facing, give the most benefit. Treating every external wall is rarely necessary. We assess the house and recommend only the walls that matter.
Does the coating have to be white?
Lighter colours reflect more heat, but the coating can be tinted to light shades so it fits the house. We show you the options and explain the trade-off honestly.
What affects the price?
The wall area, height and access (scaffolding for upper floors), the condition of the plaster, and the number of coats. We measure and confirm a fixed price per square foot.
