What this service actually involves
Termites reach a building from below, following the foundation walls and columns up to the timber and plaster above. The foundation and plinth stage is the first and most important chance to stop them. We treat the bottom and sides of foundation trenches and column pits before concrete is poured, treat the plinth fill as it is compacted, and treat the soil along both faces of the plinth wall. If the build is continuing with us, this becomes stage one of the full pre-construction programme; if you only want the foundation stage done, we will do just that and document it. Either way you get a stage certificate with photographs for the owner's records.
We do not publish dilution rates or dosages online. The correct quantity depends on the approved product label and on what the inspector finds at your property, and your applicator will confirm both before any chemical is mixed.

How is this different from pre-construction treatment?
Pre-construction treatment is the full three-stage programme. This page covers the first stage on its own: foundation trenches, column pits and plinth fill. It suits owners who want the foundation protected now and will decide on the later stages as the build progresses.
What affects the price?
The plinth area, the depth and length of trenches, the number of column pits and how many pours the work has to be split across. We quote per stage after seeing the drawings or the site.
Does the treatment delay the pour?
No. Treatment takes a few hours per stage and is done the same day or the day before concrete. We coordinate with your engineer so there is no waiting on site.
