Frequently asked questions

Is rat poison safe to use with children and pets around?

Bait is only ever placed inside locked, tamper-resistant stations or in voids that hands and paws cannot reach. In homes with cats, dogs or young children we lean more on traps and proofing and tell you exactly where every device is.

Will there be a smell if a rat dies inside a wall?

It can happen. We place stations so rodents are most likely to die near them, and our follow-up visits remove any we find. If a smell develops between visits, call us and we will come to locate and remove it.

How long until the rats are gone?

Most homes see activity stop within one to two weeks. Larger buildings and warehouses with an established population take longer and usually need an ongoing programme rather than a one-off treatment.
